    Feral hog meat?

To me, the meat of a boar is preferred. The sows, while generally more tender, seem mealy in texture. Small boars, up to 25 lbs, can be covered in rub, grilled for 30 min per side, then wrapped in foil and baked for 4-6 hours at 200 degrees until the meat shakes off the bone. Larger boars...

    Gun safe recommendation

The TR 25 WILL TIP if not bolted down. Unless you want to end up like the Wicked Witch of the East, it'd be best to anchor either the back or bottom.

    Magpul Moving, etc

That would be insane. The current tax environment in Oregon would kill them. While the Red Guard makes $1000 a job sound like a plum, it wouldn't come close to offsetting the corporate tax burden.

    Night Vision Scope

Neither for home defense. By mounting it on the firearm you muzzle everything you look at. Wife, kids, neighbor's dog. A better alternative, I believe, is a PVS-14 and IR laser combination. The PVS goes over your non-dominant eye, and the IR laser mounts to your weapon. Safer, and the...

    Steyr Scout or not?

The Browning BLR Takedown offers a compelling alternative. Drilled and tapped for a scout mounted scope on the 20" barrel, the BLR is light and quick. The magazine fed lever action is great. And it's about the same price as the GSR if you shop around.

    Non-lethal booby trap legality?

And then hope you're visited by the barefoot burglar. I think the best suggestion is a quality surveillance camera and a means to secure the images offsite.
