What's your case lube of choice?

Lee lube cut 50/50 with rubbing alcohol, loaded in a spray bottle has treated me very well on 7.62x54( and pistol, but everything works fine for pistol...)

    Rant on 380

Heh... Ammo economics is a weird subject... For loaded ammo at Wally World, WWB el cheapo is $21/100 in 9mm, but $38/100 in 380.. So I really like loading this stuff!

    Rant on 380

That's the truth! I really couldn't bring myself to shoot 380 at the prices for loaded ammo, but I'm gonna have to get better at recovering the brass...

    Rant on 380

There is a guy who shoots a 1911 at the range who loads pretty hot... He has something built out of PVC pipe and what appears to be some kind of fishing net... Seems to work well... I might have to try something like that...

How many AR-15 magazines do you have?

I don't own an AR, but I use my own mags "at work"... 10 GI type mags that I sandblasted, dura coated the outside, and installed new springs/followers.

    Rant on 380

Do all 380 weapons toss the brass wildly? I have 2 Bersa Thunder 380s and a Makarov, so I realize that it's a small sample size, but from these weapons it is a royal pain to recover much more than 50-60 percent... Time to build a brass catcher of some kind I think...

    New M44

A few pics of my new M44. 1954 Romanian manufacture, wood is pretty lousy, metal pretty good. Barrel is about average, it would appear previous owner didn't understand corrosive ammo. Took it to the range this morning and it shoots well. Burned up the last of the surplus ammo I had and just...

    Word of Caution-Lead Exposure

I stand corrected on the melting pot... I have been using wheel weights and there is other "stuff" on them that burns off at lower temps... Probably still not good to breathe:)

    Hornady Die Issue?

Called, got a live human within 1 minute! They sent a UPS shipping label to me email and it is on its way back to them.

    Word of Caution-Lead Exposure

Any commercial operation that works with lead has to deal with OSHA, and the required lead-safety program includes respirators, showers, etc... Pure metallic lead is unlikely to do much to you, but primer dust and fumes off your melting pot can get ugly... I moved all my tumbling outdoors, and...

    Looking for a machinist

I have a Lee Classic Turret(4 Hole). Lee lock rings for the dies(with the rubber O-ring) don't do a very good job of locking the dies in place. Hornady lock rings work great for the 3-Hole, but there is not enough clearance between dies to use on the 4-Hole. What I am looking for is someone...
