    S&W 422 or Buckmarck?

Will a 20 year old Buckmark show that kind of appreciation?

    S&W 422 or Buckmarck?

Buddy just got the Buckmark. Field stripping alone rules it out for me. Any of the Smith's tear down easily compared to Ruger or Buckmark. If you want light, get the 622. Better finish than 422. If you want solid weight go 2206. 2206TGT is drilled and tapped for optics, finely adjustable Millet...

Russ, my apologies for using the wrong name. I didn't realize that mount used a spacer block, but it makes sense. Your custom stainless block is very creative and looks like very nice work. Thanks for posting the photos. If you like the extra weight, you'd probably love the 2206 and in...

Rob, would it be possible to see more pictures of that b square mount? It appears there is some sort of bar below the barrel frame.

Only if the firing pin is chipped or broken as far as I have seen. I have read a couple of folks that were having intermittent problem with light strikes and it turned out the pin was broken and the pieces would line up just right in some cases and misalign other times making the light strike...

Better late than never I guess, sorry for the late reply. Have you checked S&W? I'd check there first. Second you very well may find somebody willing to trade their stock piece for your adapter. Good Luck.

Wow. I apologize for not checking this thread in a while. Great to see all the responses. I don't have time at the moment to respond to a couple of posts I've read. I'll get to them soon. In the meantime I'll just bump this, and continue praying that the supply of .22 ammo catches up with demand...

I'd call him and tell him I'm on my way! The 1100 magnum I am familiar with shoots both 2 3/4 and 3 " shells from the same barrel that is marked to shoot either. Good find there.

    Rem 1100 price check

Sounds like a winner if it is as stated. If it is a magnum barrel on a regular receiver, I might have a barrel trade in mind for you. Do you have pictures of it?

    Rem 1100 price check

Make sure the receiver is marked magnum. They might have a magnum barrel that's marked for both, on a regular receiver, in which case you would NOT be able to shoot the 3".

They made an 1100 magnum that shoots either shell provided you have the correct barrel on it. Love the 1100. How much for this one??

What .22 for a backpacking hunting gun?

X2 on the 422 or 622. Probably better with fixed sights for durability. 6" barrel. Alloy frame, but about 21 oz.

Justified use of Deadly force ?

    CRKT Redemption?

Why do you not like the steel? I'm not very knowledgeable about steels. I opted for the plain edge as well. If I come across a deal for a shorter version in the future, That might be handy to have with the veff serrations. Really top notch sheath as well. Hard liner. Multi carry options...

Need help IDing Rem 1100 differences

I'm looking at two different 1100 magnums. One has more complicated engraving on the receiver and bolt as well as more detailed checkering on the stocks. This one has a serial number beginning with "L" the other begins with "M". Are the differences in age or "grade" or what? As I said BOTH...
