Another option would be the S&W 649 Bodyguard J Frame. Stainless steel, 357 with a shrouded hammer. Not too pretty, but very functional.

I've got the opportunity to pick up a few 50 round boxes of .38 Spl Nyclad 125 gr. +P HP at a fairly good price ($12 a box). Currently, I'm carrying Gold Dot 125 gr. +P GDHP in both my S&W 642 and my S&W 342PD J Frame snubs. Not sure if I should start carrying the Nyclads, or continue carrying...
