I thought it was Gary Kleck, but I could be wrong.
However, I agree with your point. In MY case, I see the probability of needed a gun as very small. If I had to frequent bad areas of a big city, I'd feel differently.
Taking the 99% above (or 95%), I figure that five rounds should be...
The P232 is an updated 230. Not much difference. The 230 has the European mag release (on the heel), I suspect the 232 has the "normal" release.
I doubt that the .32 version has generally been available in the U.S. I heard there was a batch of German police units imported, but I've never...
Ever hear of a "Molatov Cocktail"? Pretty easy to make and effective against a tank. ;-)
Likewise, the Iraquis are doing pretty good with IEDs.
In a guerilla war, there are no restrictions on the guerillas.
Another advantage of the .357 is that the bullet can be designed without regard for reliable loading unlike semi auto bullets where feed reliablity has to be the #1 design issue.
As such, the bullet can be designed for more reliable expansion than having to worry about reliable feeding...
Oh my gosh! The U.S. is still a British colony? Castro lost against Batista?
It seems that the Russians learned the opposite in Afganistan. The books aren't closed yet on the U.S. in Iraq and Afganistan.
"Those that fail to learn from history are destined to repeat it." Perhaps you...
The .357 has enough energy and speed for penetration AND expansion. That's always marginal (except to advertisers) in 9mm.
Yes, it's a 9mm that travels faster...fast enough to expand and penetrate.
I think JSPs are used more for game where deeper penetration or bone breaking is desired...
Good job, better than Sig provides.
You left out .357Sig cartridges which I believe are available whereever the 40SW is available.
Sig has gotten very confusing with the different variations and their web site doesn't clarify the differences.

Most of us are law abiding. Heck, in most states you can only get a CCW if you are law abiding.
It think it is hard to change that law abiding mindset when the government slips out of control. Remember, it's done slowly (as it has been done slowly here in this country).
Those in power...
I can see ringing the doorbell and pounding on the door when there is no response (a lot of doorbells don't work). But his "open up" was over the top! Bad choice of words if they were truly innocent.

Porting cuts down on muzzle flip. And yes, it will be louder. Also very bad on a self defense weapon if you have to fire close to your body (e.g. "from the hip") since the exhaust gasses will be coming straight at your face.

#1 - most people are not going to lug around a 12 ga while they are hiking or backpacking.
#2 - a 44 on your hip is a lot better than a 12 ga sitting against a tree 20 ft away. Are you really going to carry the 12 ga every step you take around camp?
#3 - the vast majority of bears (even...
It refers to the little internal "key lock" so that you can lock up your gun so that it won't work if you need it. An alternative for those who think they need a trigger lock, but this is one that can't be removed as easily as an external trigger lock.
Most of us consider it stupid and...
Sounds like that ought to be reported to the police. Does the teacher have a drug habit that they are looking for places to steal guns? Or passing along the info to their "friends"?
Ken
I have a Springfield Loaded in 9mm. Originally the trigger was a bit rough but it smoothed out with use and it's nice now. It's never given me any problems at all.
