Darn Cabelas, had to buy a navy

i want to be careful in my reply:) use, if I remembered right, 1/4" felt( bought about 2 yds, grandkids will be punching out wads long after I am gone). Then I soak them in a beeswax, tallow mixture, and they work great. Before I made any for the navy I punch some and used bore butter and the...

Been watching Cabelas for a sale on the "yank" navy and there it was so "Happy Father's Day" to me. What a good time shooting it, bought 50 lbs of lead today on Craigslist and a mold coming from amazon. Made wads last night and load of balls to play with. Just wish I caught the sale in April...

    "Professional" opinion on Pietta 1860

The wedge does not seat square in the barrel and is not flush on the frame locking pins. When I check the depth of the base pin into the barrel it seems a couple thousands to long which would cause the wedge to not seat square Question do I fine tune it or return to cabelas for an exchange...

    The THR Walker Club

finally sighted in the walker, it is so much fun to shoot that it took me a couple hundred rounds. I would start working off my bench at 50 yds with my "sightin target" then the sound of lead hitting different targets, penetration in old water tanks etc would become the game. So today even with...
