Hi everyone, I plan on buying an M1A scout squad rifle in the near future. I would appreciate recommendations on optics from people who also own and operate this rifle.

    30-06 M2 Armor Piercing components

Hi everyone, I love shooting M2 AP from my Garand, unfortunately surplus rounds from the 40s and 50s have dried up or become prohibitively expensive. Does anyone know if a company is sell new made rounds or if Bullets for reloading?

    6mm Lee Navy

I will probably buy it anyway but it would be nice to shoot it.

    6mm Lee Navy

Hi everyone, I am a collector of antique and vintage US military Rifles and Sidearms. One of the people whom i buy from is offering a M1895 Lee Navy Rifle. I have had a gun smith inspect it and it is safe to fire which is amazing. Unfortunately ammunition is incredibly rare and expensive...

    .300 ACC Blackout Casing Question

Thank you everyone for the info, i just checked the starline website, the price is better than I thought it was. I will have to do the math to see if the investment in equipment is more or less than 2000 new cases. I have literally thousands of .223 cases from the range. The range i go to sells...

Hi everyone, I have been considering buying a .300blk upper for a while now, before i pull the trigger (haha) i had a question about reloading .300BLK: I know the parent case for .300BLK is the .223rem cartridge what i want to know is can i trim down my .223 and 5.56mm brass to make 300BLK...

    New concealed carry pistol recommendations

What are your thoughts on the SA-35, Springfield armory’s copy of a Browning hi-power? I have rented Hi-Powers by before and have enjoyed them. Has anyone ever used one as a carry pistol? I am seriously thinking about buying one anyway since the price is right and i love the walnut grips, it...

    New concealed carry pistol recommendations

Hi everyone, I have a S&W Airweight Revolver and a .45ACP Kimber custom carry II. i am looking for a low profile midsized pistol that i can conceal under a loose button up shirt. OWB is preferable but i want something slim enough and with smooth edges for comfortable IWB when necessary. It needs...

Is there a way to apply a new coating?

    5.7x28 load data

Would the fun police AKA the BATFE have an issue with using FMJ bullets to reload? I think I remember reading somewhere that FN only sells hollow point and ballistic tip to civilians because FMJ becomes armor piercing at the velocities involved?

    5.7x28 load data

Is there a reason not to use .223 Rem bullets?

    5.7x28 load data

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had a link to reliable load data for 5.7x28mm rounds. I would also appreciate any advice or recommendations from people who have experience reloading 5.7x28mm. Thanks

    Steel case reloading

I have thought about that but lead poisoning scares the crap out of me. I am a welder so i know all about the problems fumes from molten metals can cause. I dont even buy pure lead bullets, i always get either plated, FMJ or TMJ bullets so i dont get any on my fingers. I know it costs a little...

    Steel case reloading

I have thought about that, and i probably will in the future when i run low, or if I start using a new caliber. I primarily re load .38 special and .45 ACP. I use really light loads for .38spl: 158gr plated SWC with a 3.5gr alliant Bullseye charge. I usually get 12 reloads before a case fails.

    Steel case reloading

Thanks for the information i think ill stick to brass unless I absolutely have too. Factory ammo and components are getting more and more expensive as the years go by, anything i can do to shave off a few cents per round helps.

    Which M1A?

I really dont mean to hijack this post or disparage the M1A. But if I could only choose one of the rifles i would choose an M1 Garand. I paid $725 for my M1 in 2013, I hade it appraised for insurance purposes last year and it was valued at $2200. It truly is an investment. It can also be passed...

    Which M1A?

My Garand is 80 years old, possibly exactly since the serial number indicates a july 1942 date of production. I am very carful with what ammo i use with it with. I bought a few boxes of surplus belted .30 cal at the same time i bought the rifle, it was all late 50’s and 60s Head-stamped from...

    Which M1A?

Its an investment as well as fun to shoot it has tripled in value since I bought it in 2013. Sight picture is almost identical, you dont need to worry about buying expensive magazines or potential future mag size restrictions. With a C&R FFL you wont have to worry about any future state laws...
