M1A Scout Squad optic recommendation

I plan on buying an M1A scout squad rifle in the near future. I would appreciate recommendations on optics from people who also own and operate this rifle.

Have you experienced the enjoyment of learning to use open sights and being good at it. Just saying it's fun.

Depends on your intended use. Back in 2007, I mounted a Leupold Mk4 3.5-10 on a Scout Squad for a young man who was his platoon's DM, used to good effect, his father said.
Just plinking? Try the irons sights first, you may be surprised. For 0-200 yds. Either an LPVO or a prism 3 power will work fine.
