I have read some posts about shipping; but, could somebody shed a little more light on my situation. I wish to ship an antique 1851 colt by either ups or usps. I see quotes from ups policy that states that one can send an antique pistol by ups ground; but, I can't find any mention of this on the...
The bulging base of the case of the 6.5 Arisaka is normal for those rifles. I was concerned with this and submitted the problem to the below forum. You might search the forum for the discussion.

Just as a word of caution, chamber the insert gently to make sure it is not too tight. I didn't take this precaution and got the insert stuck and had to get a broken case extractor to remove it.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will certainly give that idea a try. If I might ask, what brand or kind of insert do you have? It sounds a little more practical than what I have.
After reading the posts about this .32 acp insert I decided to buy one in 30-06. It had a very hard fit into a 1917 enfield and after some emory cloth I got it to seat. But now I cannot remove it. It will not extract. Any type of rod I have goes right through the insert. There is no real "edge"...
The site below advertises inserts. I have no first hand knowledge as to how good they are. I'd be interested to hear from anybody who has experience with them.

Well, neither the front nor the rear sight can be adjusted for windage. Maybe one of the other rear sights mentioined above will work. I will investigate them a little further. Thanks for all the imput.
No, it's not dovetailed. It's similar to some military sights that one can't adjust the windage on either. Some of the newer reproduction 95's and I believe some older models had an adjustable sight arrangement; but, this doesn't. This one doesn't look as though it can easily be converted...
I have a model 1985 Winchester in 30-40. The original rear sight cannot be adjusted for windage. Since the rifle is entirely original I do not want to bore any additional holes. Does anybody have a suggestion for a rear sight (with windage adjustments) that can be adapted or installed using the...
I read where FFFg is recommended for calibers below .45. I have a .32 Crockett and mistakenly purchased Triple 7 FFG. Can I use this safely and successfully and if so what may be some good load recommendations to start. Thank you.
I've been told that one can use 00 buckshot in a .32 caliber muzzleloading rifle; but, from what I read 00 buckshot has a diameter of .33. 0 buckshot has a diameter of .32 and #1 buck is .30 in diameter. Can anybody advise me as to which I should try? If #1 were used what thickness and kind of...
Of all the manufacturers who make Hawken type rifles who might manufacture the most authentic looking rifle (if there might be a representative type)? Thank you.
