    Beretta 1934 Questions on carry

Looks good to me! They are nice little pistols! Awesome, I will have to check it out. I have taken a shine to this little pistol. So took it to the range again yesterday. First time I shot it I put a box of S&B through, no issues, hickups, or problems. Yesterday though, I had the hammer fall...

Figured I should post a picture of mine. It is not a pretty as others, but it doesn’t look too bad for 1936!

    Beretta 1934 Questions on carry

Awesome, thank you all for the info. It is a real fun little pistol and I just like to wrap my head around how it was used. The safety is so unique, and I have not run across another firearm with one like it, so I really wanted to see what people used to do! Makes me want to pick up a 70S, seems...

    Beretta 1934 Questions on carry

Found a nice (to me) 1934 made in 36. Its a really nice little 380! Yet looking at this thing, I found it interesting it has such a long service life. The swing over safety is very strange to me, makes me wonder how the Italians carried it for so long? I would not think it safe to carry cocked...

    Trapdoor Advice Needed

Okay that is good to know. I was kinda sad to see that none of them passed. When I get my rifle I will be sure to slug it. from what I have read, soft lead plug, lube it up, and then lightly hammer it down the bore with a wooden dowel. That sound about right? I will have to check out Bear...

I am interested in trying BP loads. I enjoy casting and reloading for smokeless, so I think it will be in my wheel house. I ordered the book by Pat Wolf, and I am hoping that will have plenty of good info. I think i will try both types. The thing I am curious about, as smokeless round for the...

Good looking rifle, I am digging into plenty to research. I plan on keeping all my digits if I can help it! and while it may not be a MOA rifle, that is still plenty good for me, it would put dinner on the table! Well, I love my lever gun, and I feel I will like the Trapdoor. I enjoy the...

Well that makes things a little easier. I will just keep an eye out for obvious issues. how bad is stock cracking on these? good to know! I will be sure to bring a pin then just to make sure, but if they are easy enough to replace I might not have to worry too much... so long as the rest of...

Thats good to hear. Anyone I have spoke to about these rifles say that they are plenty fun to shoot! I am excited at the idea of making some BP rounds for them, I got to do a bit of blackpowder stuff when I was real young with a flint lock my friends dad owned, and it was sure neat. Making a BP...

    Trapdoor Advice Needed

Hey there folks! I want to get a 1884 Trapdoor, I have a Krag and love it and felt it would be alot of fun to get a old trapdoor. I see there are reproductions, but from what I have heard at my LGS.. a decent original is better than the Italian reproductions. I am not sure if that is true or...

Ballester-Molina and the Star Model B Part exchange?

Hello there folks! Just thinking about this, as I have been working on a Star BM and watched some disassembly videos on the Star B, and I noticed how similar the parts look to the frame side of the Ballester-Molina .45s. I was curious, for anyone one who has had hands on both pistols, to see if...

    Cold Bluing, and peach fuzz

So I was using Perma blue, I switched to hot water and heating the parts a bit and it came out great. Taking the time to do one part at a time and clean it up kept the 'fuzz' at bay. Thank you for all your help everyone!
