I was today years old when I realized the 1lb powders screwed onto my lee powder measure

Haha clearly I didn’t read the lee manual. In regard to returning powder back to the bottle it seems like it would be as easy as the original setup which is just a clear bottle that has to be taken off to be filled anyway. I use it to dump all my different charges until I get the right weight...

Seems like everyone needs what the other guy's got...

I’m most interested in 308 but would entertain pre pandemic prices on 45, 6.5 creedmoor and possibly others. I currently reload 300 blackout, 223, 38/357 and 9mm and figured I’d just have to end up hunkering down with those until the chaos passed

    Champfering primer pockets

There’s lots of cheap tools that will get the job done, I bought the Lyman case prep xpress and haven’t looked back. I would buy it 100x over. I remove the primer pocket crimp, clean primer pockets, trim brass, chamfer and debur all on that station. I think I paid like 120 for it and I’m sure...

I was today years old when I realized the 1lb powders screwed onto my lee powder measure

So I’ve been reloading a few years. I didn’t have much of a hands on mentor so I turned to places like this and YouTube in addition to reloading manuals and time after time people would say they would always put the powder they were pouring on the table by the machine so they always knew what...

    300 blackout reload data question

Hahahahaha smell the fear is right! I was a little intimidated by the process initially but it’s so simple with the right tools. I’m picking up cheap 223 brass from the forum here and 308 dia projectiles are up but not outrageous so it’s not a terrible cartridge to fire up!

    300 blackout reload data question

I hope to be able to load and shoot some of these soon. The wife is out of town this weekend and my 16 month old is making light work of me over here hahaha

    300 blackout reload data question

Yes they get much larger than that. One of the things that was throwing me off was that grain weights below and above still sat further in the cartridge. in that picture above is a 147gr as well as a subsonic 200gr bullet. Both of them sit shorter than the 168 I just loaded . I have checked...

    300 blackout reload data question

Hey all, I just got done loading some 300 blackout to spec from my hornady (10th edition I believe) and the book said OAL was 2.21. After seating at just below that I’m sitting here looking at a bullet that seems like it’s sticking out of the case way too far. I went and compared it to some subs...

    What primers do I use???

I’d bet my house on both of these exact things. I’m fairly new to this cartridge also, But ask me how I know :D

Take a look at my casing and tell me what you think.

All good info guys, I was curious about the inside of the casings as many have touched on but i will say I had a light in them and they show waaaaay dirtier in the photo than they actually look in person, although still nice and dirty. I’d agree with the above. The possibility of me having an...

Old Reloader ... New to 9x19

I’m a novice reloader but my focus has been on 9mm I’m sure the numerous replies have covered exactly what I’m about to say, but here goes I have reloaded a lot of unique. I have tried as low as 4.4gr under 115 ball As well as 124gr all the way up to 5.4 grains under the same. My final resting...

Take a look at my casing and tell me what you think.

@lordpaxman you’re absolutely right, I was getting it in my head that I used my book and I definitely used the Hodgdon website. I Def would love a chronograph but currently don’t have one or access to one. These are definitely just target loads and I have not shot for groups yet because I’m...

Take a look at my casing and tell me what you think.

Hi all, So I have been loading 115-124gr 9mm with 5 grains of unique, but i have some 147gr projectiles that I wanted to work up and had some titegroup to do it with. This is a new recipe for me. I started on the low end of the hornady reloading manual which is 3.2gr starting load to a 3.6gr...

    Chamfer/debur tool for drill

Thanks again guys I was needing to buy a swager anyway and I figured I’d have 60-80 bucks after taxes shipping and 2-3 tools later I figured whatever I’ll just automate it the fact that I could clean/lube/swager/chamfer/debur all in one swoop was worth it. I’ll definitely let you know how it...

    Chamfer/debur tool for drill

I was thinking something along the lines of this. This looks like a decent little drill chamfer but would need two pieces because I don’t see how one piece could do both and also hook to a drill

    Chamfer/debur tool for drill

Yeah I currently trim in a drill it’s just the chamfering/deburring. I was hoping to find something machined cheap that could work in a drill I have seen those fancy units and I bet they’re worth every bit of 120-130 dollars. Just looking for something a little more rudimentary aka cheaper haha
