Wondering who has experiencing successfully, reliably & safely mounting a bayonet to a mossberg maverick 88 shotgun? Or a similar knife, such as the K-bar I have.
I took the gun to the gunsmith who was recommended. He looked it over and said the maverick seems to be working great. He said it looks cleaner than most guns he has seen, when i asked if my superficial newbie cleaning of it may have messed it up. .
It seems likely the malfunctions were a...
Hi all. My Mossberg Maverick 88 I bought a bit less than a year ago, is suddenly frequently jamming & not cycling, both in the magazine tube below not cycling live shells from magazine tube into barrel chamber when pumping the forearm assembly.
And a shell even stuck ( at least after it fired )...
Hi all. I am fairly new to owning a firearm. I bought a mossberg maverick 8 12 gauge shotgun recently. Have taken it to a range and shot it maybe 100 rounds so far. Birdshot, some clayshot, buckshot and 5 or 10 slugs so far.
Given the cost & challenge buying ammo, I am interested in purchasing...
Hi all. Any suggestions for an affordable ( under $40 ) shotgun pictanny rail mountable light with pressure switch?
I bought this combination
( https://www.combathunting.com/Maverick_88_Shotgun-Mossberg_Maverick_88_Forend_Kit.html ) ,
but after only maybe 7 times range visits when I tried...
The maverick I own has both the 18 inch and the 28 inch barrels. And I'm quite happy with the foreend vertical grip. It feels much more reliable and comfortable to me, which is what matters. I dont plan on using the pop out bipod unless for some reason I come across a reason to. But I'm grateful...
Hi. So I changed my mossberg maverick 88 shotgun foreend with an aftermarket forend that has side rails. Although it feels a little wobbly, it's worked fine until earlier this week at range one side piece of the foreend fell off as one screw fell out and several others had come loose.
I found...
Im pretty comfortable with my maverick now. Especially with the added vertical grip, which makes it much more comfortable and secure. Getting a bit bored with the straight static set distance paper target range option at the range in a nearby town, though.
I visited a different shooting range...
Hi all. I've been going to a shooting range in Petaluma for a few months, to practice shooting my shotgun.
It's something, but we are only allowed to shoot static wooden pallet target from one preset distance.
I want to find somewhere between Marin, Petaluma, Rohnert Park areas, where I can...
Given the numerous and changing laws about our freedom, firearms and ammunition, does anyone here know if people who live in California are able to purchase ammunition in another state ( Nevada for instance ) and bring in back with them to California? Without having to declare or it go through...
Little update - The newer grip I bought after first one broke, is holding up excellent! Totally worth paying a bit more for sturdiness reliability.
Anyone use a red or green dot sight & magnifying scope on your shotguns?
Although some refer to shotguns as just point and shoot, it seems and...
So an fyi in case whoever owns this website doesnf yet know. Its often showing error message when trying to view this site. Screenshot attached.
Also included is a video of the comical failure of the new forearm grip after 2nd shot.
Good to know. It's worth paying a bit more money for truly well made, reliable things.
Hopefully at least the forearm assembly with rails and the light that came as part of the set are sturdy reliable. It racks fine so far.
I just a few minutes ago bought this grip pod bipod from a nearby gun store. $110 versus the less than $20 grip that broke earlier today.
This new one has a cross bar attachment style that seems better. I'll upload a photo of it soon
