Hi. So I changed my mossberg maverick 88 shotgun foreend with an aftermarket forend that has side rails. Although it feels a little wobbly, it's worked fine until earlier this week at range one side piece of the foreend fell off as one screw fell out and several others had come loose.

I found the screw that fell out, but when I tried to tighten it and others screws back in to the side of foreend, some screws just keep turning but never stop screaming and grip. Like cheap plastic stripped?

Ah #*$= I just looked again now and 1 of the screws already fell out somewhere so I dont even have 1 of them at all now!

Wondering if its useful to apply some kind of glue, locktite, etc to the screws to secure them in place?

And what exact screws can I find to purchase and use to replace them?

Sorry but how are you to suppose to hang onto the forend and pump it with rails on it? Toss that crap and put the original on. If you want a light get a barrel clamp. I,ve seen shotguns with all kinds of crap hanging on them. Its a gun, not a Swiss army knife. All mine have is a 5 round butt sleeve and a 5 round side saddle. Plus whats in the tube. Thats 15 rounds on the short one. And the pump handles are for pumping.

I’d try a small amount of blue loctite on the screws if they keep working their way loose. Just don’t go nuts with it.

Ive used a dab of blue loctite on some screws on my rifle that were coming loose where I have my red dot mounted. No problems now.

I have three 88’s HD shotguns all went through 100+ round function test ( or more ) they are placed throughout my home ... handy

all stock

Have an 870p.
She had a railed forend.
It gets painful to use. It grates going forward to unlock and then rearward to pump.

Now it has a speed-feed stock w/ 4 extra rounds and a heat shield with a light attached to it and a standard forend.
