    LIGHTLY CORRODED BRASS??

I just started doing the wet tumble method of cleaning brass with stainless steel pins. Unbelievable how shiny brass gets after tumbling for 1 hour in a harbor freight rock tumbler. I bet that would slick your brass up.

    Taurus 669 question

I mainly shoot a 629 but my dad had a blued Taurus 669 in a drawer that had been shot 15-20 times since he bought it probably 25 years ago. Decided I would try it out so I loaded some mild cast .38 Spl loads to try. Accuracy at 25 yards was surprisingly good, but the cylinder has all kinds of...

    Thinking of stepping it down.

Yep, I started off with a 454, now have a 44 that I shoot a lot with medium loads. My dream gun is a .380 revolver with a 6-7 inch barrel but dont think anybody ever made one. Magnum bug went away fast for me.

    "Disapproved"

I had a form 4 get declined because the store clerk left one piece of info off of application. The ATF examiner would not let the store submit the needed info, and I had to start over from scratch. Immediately re applied sending in another $200 tax stamp fee and I got the suppressor in 5 months...

Anybody using W572 powder for 44 mag?

Picked up 3 pounds of 572 at pre-covid prices and am experimenting with loading middle of the road cast rounds for a 44 mag revolver. The cases seem pretty sooty after firing and it blows a pretty good fireball shooting at dusk, but accuracy seems pretty good.

Modern Usefulness of a Single Shot Break Action

Mine is useful as my go to turkey gun in 10 gauge. Loaded with TSS shot, a Sumtoy .700 choke tube, and a Leupold scope it will kill turkeys at more than double the standard effective range that most turkey ammo is rated for, if that is your choice.

300 WSW reloads got Nlgia Deer

The SST is made to come apart easy. I have some friends that killed Nilgai years ago and they said they are tough as a Brahma bull to bring down.

300 WSW reloads got Nlgia Deer

I have been shooting a .300RSAUM for 15 years with a 180gr Hornady Interbond and it gets an exit on everything it hits. Barnes bullets would be a good selection for that animal too I would think

300 Blackout kaboom: squib or double charge?

Sounds more like a gun issue than an ammo issue to me. Been a while since I loaded 300BO but I didnt think a double charge would fit in case with a deeply seated bullet. I have been wrong before

    44 mag grips

I am new on this forum, but have the same gun, 629 5" that the original poster is describing. I have average sized hands and I think the factory rubber grips are too narrow across the back also. I ordered a set of factory wood grips from S&W that come only on the 6 1/2 bbl guns to try and they...
