Just wondering what accuracy I can expect from a SIG 522. I'm hearing 2" groups at 100 yards. What about 150 and 200 yards? I know that's a lot to expect for a .22 so it's not going to be making a ragged hole or anything, but wondering all the same.
I've read in places that Alaskan pilots (at least when flying more than 20 miles and when not entering or exiting the state) are required to carry a gun in the plane.
Is this still the case and if so, could someone link me to the text of the law?
Thanks
Not seen anyone post this, apologies if someone has.

Tragic of course. But also interesting. I don't want...
Image of British soldiers in Afghanistan from BBC. Note the British camouflage, helmets and SA80 in the background.
The body armour is the newer kind and the recently added foregrip on the SA80 narrows it down to being pretty recent (most likely it was taken within the past couple of days)...
Most holsters for ASP batons are sized for 2 inch duty belts. Is there anywhere that sells adjustable width holsters, or ones sized for normal fashion belts?
Is it possible to link a bullet to a specific gun, other than simply matching calibers? For instance, from the rifling marks on the bullet?
I'm pretty sure it's not, but wanted to check.
Is there such a thing as a ballistics database in the US or certain states?
There's only a couple of guns I can think of that meet these two criteria. I'd have thought combining the slim lines of the 1911 with the light weight of Glock et al would be more popular... Am I missing a bunch of designs, or is there some reason more aren't made?
The knives in question being Gerber Fastdraws. As I understand it, assisted opening knives are now illegal to import into the United States and will be seized, unless/until this decision is ruled unlawful.
I'm looking for a handcuff and case combo. Looking at the ASP chain cuffs and either the ASP Investigator leather case or the Uncle Mike's Kydex case. Any input?
I'm thinking kydex might be better as I can take them out and put them back in without having to mess around with the retention...
As I understand it, TASERs can give different length bursts. How do you choose the length of the burst and what are the possible burst lengths? (I've never handled one)
For example, if I fire one I presume you just press the trigger once and it automatically gives a timed burst - then you can...
As I understand it:
It is illegal for someone who is not a resident of the United States to possess a firearm there.
However, a hunting license can be acquired which gives that person permission to possess a firearm.
In most states it is legal to open carry without any kind of permit...
A while back I saw a company selling AR15s with fixed magazines and modified receivers allowing them to be loaded with stripper clips, without the need to open the receiver. Does anyone have a link or picture?
I was thinking a pistol version of this (with a ten round mag) would bypass the DC...
Ok, so I know knives are generally not regarded as very effective self-defence tools, and I'm not actually interested in using them as such or anything like that. I am just curious:
Suppose you were to give me a lecture on how to use a knife to defend myself, assuming there is no alternative...
I have seen grip extension sleeves that fit on to Glock 17 magazines allowing them to be used with Glock 26 pistols without having them 'stick out the bottom'. Are such extensions available for Glock 20 magazines so that they can be used with Glock 29s?
Also, can a Glock 20 upper be fitted to a...
Thought I'd let you all know about a new comer on the political scene in the UK: the Libertarian Party. It's no relation of the US Libertarian Party, except that they stand for very much the same thing.
They stand for, in the long term, the wholesale abolition of restrictions on small arms. In...

Not the most modest of men, but he should be applauded none the less :p
I saw this done on film and just wondered what everyone thought of it. A safe way of doing a useful drill or an accident waiting to happen?
EDIT: See post #7 for what I think.
Three revolvers (although one doesn't revolve anymore!) modified for the humane dispatch of animals.
