This is a good question. I live in the capital area and usually travel down to Manchester Firing line. But it's quite a drive, a little pricey, and usually pretty busy. I'd love to find a local pit or public land range of some sort.
Have you had any luck?
The idea of checking with the local...
Someone else brought up a similar sentiment, and generally I agree. But be sure the kids know the difference between the fire alarm and security system alarm. Practice, practice, practice to be sure everyone in the home can tell the difference and responds accordingly.
If you're not 110%...
I don't suppose anyone's got one of these revolvers AND a P32 or P3AT? I'd love to see a size comparison. I've got a love-hate relationship with my P32 and wouldn't mind switching to a revolver of comparable size/weight.
Anyone?
Hate to resurrect an old thread, but I wanted to provide some closure.
I placed a new order this week and had it shipped to my home - just to see what would happen. I tried to be home early enough to catch the UPS guy and have a little chat about any special handling requirements for ORM-D...
Hrmm, I've always just assumed that ORM-D packages required a human being to receive them. They always took a signature when delivering to my office in the past. Maybe I'll try just shipping one to my house and seeing what happens.
I called around to a few places - apparently a lot of...
I'm not sure the warehouse route is very practical, it's nearly 40 minutes away. This made me think of "The UPS Store", though. It seems they provide Mailbox services and there's one nearby.
I've sent an e-mail to the local store asking about specifics and rates. I think I'll also take a...
I have a bit of a conundrum.
In the past I've purchased ammo and other accessories/supplies from natchezss.com and had it shipped to my office. UPS always takes a signature when delivering these packages. Until recently this was working out great.
Over the past few weeks I've had some...
Looks like the Kimber is the least expensive option. Still awfully painful at $850+. Guess I'll just have to wait. Maybe Taurus will make a 9mm version of their 1911 in the not too distant future. . .
Thanks for your input.
I've always wanted a 1911 but with the dearth of choices and often bone-chilling prices I've managed to steer clear. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out - the Siren's Call and all that.
I'd really like something in 9mm. I know that's heretical, but .45 is so expensive...
I'm in the market for one of these small .357/.38spl revolvers and the main reason I haven't picked one up yet is I'm still trying to decide between the sp101 or the 605/85. Obviously the Taurus will save me $75 or so, but the rabid loyalty of sp101 owners is compelling.
Anyone have a...
I've used the aluminum blazer exclusively for plinking in my G19. I'm only up to about 1200 rds (+200 or so of gold dots), so it's a little early to tell if there's any unusual wear. But I'd be really surprised if there were.
It's about the cheapest brand-name 9mm I can find (sometimes by...
Natchez
I've always found Natchez to have really great shipping charges. I don't buy huge amounts, but I commonly order 500 rds of 9mm with a couple other items (cleaner, grips, minor accessories) and I think the most I've ever paid for shipping is around $15.
I feel that's pretty darn...
CCI
I'm really surprised not to see more love for CCI (Blazer/Speer). I've only got a 9mm and .22, so I can't say much first hand about the other calibers. But at least for my use they're cheap, CLEAN, and reliable.
I haven't found cheaper 9mm plinking ammo and I don't think anyone would...
I'd like to pick up one of the 31 (33) round glock magazines to use in my G19. I've read through all of the NH statutes pertaining to firearms (I think) and haven't seen any mention of capacity restrictions.
I'm fairly certain they're legit, but IANAL and before I whip out the big mag o joy...
As to whether or not theft of a generator might constitute a threat to life, I could see certain circumstances where it may. Here in the northeast, it's not unusual to hear once or twice a year of some poor, elderly couple found dead in their home from hypothermia. If that generator is the...
