I have 2 Mas 49/56 rifles converted to .308.One from Centry the other a gunsmith converted to use Fal high cap + Mas mags. I must have been lucky for both rifles shoot great without any stalls or jams as does my Sagia .308 but I like the feel of wood against metal on the Mas 49/56.

Wolf is making a 75 gr HPBT .223 they say will work in a 1:9 inch twist barrel. How would this compare to a 7,62x39 round or .30-30?

I have the Mini-14 and .30 carbine rifles.Both seem to be easy to shoot and both hit the target about the same at 50yds The .30 carbine is smaller lighter weight , my shooting is around 125 yds max.My question is would the Mini-14 with Ruger 20 rd mags not hold up as well as the .30 carbine...

My Kimber Custom Tle 11 1911 with 16" barrel but w/folded stock its only 23'' so I had my gunsmith pin the folding stock instead of a adding to the barrel . 10+1 but I will get the 40rd round mag and it will still be a lite weight .45 rifle.Shoots 185 gr hollow points with ease leaves nice...

Rineland arms posts picture of a upper reciver in 5.7x28mm ,we can not get the high power ammo unless LE so how close is this to a .223? What could you hunt with this round in a 5 shot bolt rifle? Thanks
