Pushing the envelope on SBR regulations

I'm glad to see items come along that challenge the status quo with regard to the NFA. I doubt getting rid of NFA would be an easy thing to do, but I have a solution to the regulations that is simple and probably would gain traction fairly easily. Keep things as they are now with one...

    HK drops USC

I had one and really liked it (post conversion), but it has since moved on. It shot great and never failed to gather a fair bit of attention at the range. I miss it every now and then, but not nearly enough to spend the money and go back down that road again. It did hold it's value though. I...

On the left is my custom Delta Elite built by Bruce Gray. On the right is a Baer TRS with some Larry Davidson grips and a 10-8 rear sight.

    lets see your 10mm's!

Thanks for the pic. That barrel has a good bit more support than mine.

    lets see your 10mm's!

sargents1: Not the best pictures, but here's the stock and Bar-Sto barrel from my Delta. stock: Bar-Sto: As you can see the Bar-Sto offers more support, but not quite as much as some of the aftermarket Glock barrels that people run "nuclear" loads through all the time. With range ammo...

    lets see your 10mm's!

I missed this part of your post yesterday. I'll try to get some pictures with both the Bar-Sto and stock barrels for you. I'd say it's a decent price. Not bad, not great.

    lets see your 10mm's!

I bought it right after they were re-issued. I shot it a few times in the stock configuration and then sent it off for a few minor things, but it ended up becoming quite the major project. Here's a rundown of everything that was done: -BarSto Match Target 10mm barrel -Kart barrel bushing...

    10mm 1911

Thanks. The work was done by Bruce Gray. http://grayguns.com/ He does great work, but as I understand he has quite a backlog right now. Mine has a ton of things changed on it, but I stuck with the stock recoil setup.

    10mm 1911

Get one! You'll love it. Here's my Delta shooting some 175gr Winchester Silver Tip. It's far from some of the craziest loads out there, but it's about as good as the big ammo makers produce these days.

    VZ 58 Anyone?

I'm really thinking about picking up one of these. I've got some 7.62x39 sitting here without a rifle to run it through. I've had AKs in the past and never could warm up to them. These seem just different enough that it might work for me.

    Should I? Coonan for a GP100

A Coonan is a very fun, very different handgun. No one really pays attention to it at first at the range because they think it's just another 1911. That all changes when you fire the first shot. At the end of the video linked below, my fiance's reaction says it all. :D youtube link I...

I joined the flat trigger club

I thought that I'd see what all the flat trigger fuss was about on my Delta. Turns out I didn't like it. Not bad, but it just didn't feel right to me. It's back with the smith who did the work now to have a few things done and one of those is fitting a standard long trigger.

Are the Coonan .357 still in production

I own a 10mm 1911 as well, but the Coonan is just a different animal altogether.

Are the Coonan .357 still in production

Based on my personal sample of one, I'd put the quality on par with Colt. The thumb safety could be a little better (it feels a little flimsy to me) and the grip safety could be fitted better. There a little things that I could nitpick over, but overall it's a great gun and the trigger is...

Are the Coonan .357 still in production

There was a 4" version of the early guns that was known as the "Cadet". I've seen talk that it may reappear in the not to distant future.
