    Kahr CW 9

What do you guys think of the Kahr CW 9 pistol? I have never heard nothing bad about them, just what I have read in the gun rags. Gonna get me one this week.

Opening day of muzzle loader season in KY

And right at daylight, the Ruger 77/50 bagged me this doe.

I guess it just HAD to happen. Wolff ammo discussion.

I have always defended Wolff ammo. I have never had a problem with the stuff, and I figured those who did just did not clean their stinking guns enough. I seen two guys I know shooting their ARs that had a fired cartridge case stick in the chamber, both of them happening on the same day! I...

Before and after pics of my tacti-cool shotgun

Before, plain Jane Mossburg 500: After, with Knoxx stock, Advanced Technology forend, 18 inch Mossburg replacement barrel, and side saddle. I think this will make one heck of a home defense gun. Now to go shoot it!

Before and after pics of my Garand

Well, you guys seen the before pic: Here is the after: Now, that is NOT the same stock. I had a stock that had never been finished, and that is what I used. I used the handguards that came with the gun, however. I think it turned out pretty decent.

It is here! M1 Garand from the CMP

Well, it finally arrived. Been waiting about 6 weeks. The stock leaves much to be desired, but the bore is pretty dang good from what I can tell. Post war Springfield Armory.

    American made Mosin-Nagants!

In the July American Rifleman there is a very interesting article about American made Mosin-Nagants. Seems that Remington and New England Westinghouse Co. both made these rifles for the Russians in WW1. After the Bolshevik Revolution both companies were stuck with several of these guns and our...

Butler Creek 10/22 Stocks: Where is the cheapest place to buy?

I am thinking of buying a Butler Creek folding stock for the 10/22, as well as some of the steel lip 30 round mags. I just wondered where is the cheapest place you guys have found for either. I have seen some wildly divergent prices, on the stock in particular. From a low of a bit over $50 to...

A few pics of the NRA convention

Here is the Ruger Charger: A Ruger guys dream: Meeting Larry Potterfield. (I told him I bought enough from him to send him to Africa a couple of times. He said "Thanks for the business" just like on the commercial! Tom Selleck checking out the guns: And the Meeting of members...

It's almost like having a new gun!

A fella on another forum and I swapped grip frames, my birds head for his standard plow handle, and it is like having a new gun! He liked the birds head, I like the regular grip. I like the look of the birds head, but my big ole hands did not care for them at all. Heck, even my wife hated...

    Lay a Way!

Just put a 4 inch Redhawk on lay a way, .44 Mag. They had both the .44 and a .45 laying there, same price. Seeing as how I just traded my .44 mag Taurus for a pre 64 Winchester 94, the choice was easy for me, as I still have my Vaquero in .45 Colt. Now, got to make enough money to get her out...

    Cost of shooting/reloading

I know we are all sick to death of ammo prices going up. (And I know you are probably sick of people like me griping about it!)I just placed an order at Midway for 500 Remington .357 mag 125 grain JHP and it cost $45.99! This was ON SALE! Last year I bought a box of 500 for $29.99, and the...

    Laser Grips and extreme heat/cold

I have wanted to buy a set of Crimson Trace laser grips, but have reservations about how well they would hold up to extreme heat and cold. I have to leave my carry gun in my vehicle's glove box while at work (12 hours), and worry about the affects of the hot and cold on the batterys. Anybody...

Crimson Trace laser grips-are they worth it?

I have been contemplating buying a set of these for the Ruger P90 or P89, but I really hate to spend that much money for them. I watched a show on Outdoor Channel the other day, and I do see why it cost so much, as there is a lot of hand work that goes into them. For those that have them, do you...

Who else shoots better DA than SA?

I find it weird that I can shoot my DA revolvers better DA than in SA mode. I mean, I can shoot my single action revolvers just fine, but when I shoot my DA revolvers, I can shoot them much better DA than SA. Anybody else shoot better DA?

    Rare 1911

Watched American RIfleman TV today and they told of a 1911 made in Canada during the closing days of WW1 by North American Arms (no relation to the NAA mini-revolver that I know of!) that is the rarest of all 1911 variants. Only about 100 of them were made. The price if you can find one in...

    AR products I can recommend

I just want to recommend two products for your AR. There are so many products out there to upgrade your AR, many of them not needed, and some just plain silly. However, these two products I consider must have items. The first is a Badger Ordanence extended charging handle. This really helps...
