I've been wanting one of these for a long time in .45. I've noticed they've started coming with a new style skeletonized hammer instead of the older heart shaped type, makes me wonder if there are any other differences in the old vs new EM's.
Thanks for the review.

We don't have a Sportsman's Warehouse where I live but I took a trip to MT a few months back and stopped by one to see what they had and was surprised at the large selection of handguns and rifles. Very impressive for a chain store. Not bad prices either.
I haven't fired a Glock but I love my Sig SP2022. Both have their pros and cons though, so its really up to which one fits you the best. The Glock is probably a little more concealable if your looking for a CCW, but the Sig would be the better option if you want a good full-sized range gun...
if your looking for a fun plinker with a little more oomph than .22 i'd suggest a hi-point 995 carbine. they are really fun little dependable rifles that are cheap to feed and own. if you can get past how ugly they are, you will really enjoy them.
Bubs is correct. In one shot you can see the magazine and its way to skinny to be holdin 7.62 NATO. The rifle itself is also a lot more compact than the G3 is.
Saigas are a great place to start. You can convert them yourself to the pistol grip configuration easily and learn a lot about AK's during the process and have a lot of fun at the same time. They also probably have the best quality to price ratio you can find.
