    What area near Yakima? It can very from wide open long shots to right on top of you. That said the average shot is 100 yards or less. I hunt west of Yakima in the mountains so 100 or less average shot. D

    I have used 158 and 180 xtps on deer. They do an excellent job. And yes you can hit bone or shoulder and still retain more then enough penetration. D

    357 Deer Loads

    I have shot several deer with the 180 gr Hornady. With a good load you can shoot through them at almost any angle. 357 is great for deer as long as you can place a well constucted bullet where it needs to go.

    First rifle eight. First pistol (Ruger Mark 1) 9. Everthing after me. Dad was and still is a great guy. Added. Times were different then. I dont know what normal ages are now. My son is 13 and has a G21. D
