How close in performance are H4831sc and H4350? I haven't shot any H4831sc, but from Hodgdon data, it looks like a 6% to 8% higher powder charge of H4831sc will yield similar velocities and pressures to that of H4350, at least in the 6.5mm calibers. But that is book data. I wonder how they...

You can't go wrong with a 20 ga. Model 1100 - a used one with with imp. cyl. or mod. choke won't set you back much, and will serve your needs quite well.

I also am a big fan of H4350 - its dynamite in my .260 Rem (Sako AV). But, golly its hard to find any 4350 now.

I guess I like the idea of more projectiles. 1 oz of BB will bee about 2-1/2 times the number of pellets as #4Buck. Which buckshot is your choice? #4, 0, 00?

Does anybody sell 12 ga. shotshells loaded with BB sized lead shot? This is a great HD load.

This sounds scary as hell. Damn, I'd sure enough be too puckered to shoot this load without some really careful study and some measurements. I also don't understand how the primers were pushed out without shoulder damage.

Is Hodgdon H414 similar to H4350? I've used 4350 in 6.5 and 7mm stuff, but never H414 - I read somewhere (don't remember where) that they are similar, but talk's cheap. I asking for experienced advice.

185 is OK The 185 gr LSWC are nice. Noticeably less recoil - you might need a slightly weaker spring to get the slide to cycle, but that's no problem. Mikey likes it - give it a try - you'll be glad you did.
