    Kudos to Alessi Holsters

Yesterday, while attending the Syracuse Gun Show, I had one of the most pleasant customer service experiences with Tom Kulwicki, owner of Alessi Holsters. I was looking at a particular holster that appeared to maybe fit a couple .380's. Unfortunately I hadn't originally planned to and therefore...

NY Pistol Permit Application - How Long?

Absolutely correct Speedo66. I am also an officer in upstate NY. Broome county has recently resumed letting citizens carry again. Thanks to Judge Joseph Cawley. He does require any applicant for full carry to take one of the several weekend carry classes offered and present the certificate upon...

Court Officers 2A rights being violated!!

Court officers aren't looking for special treatment..As TEX put it..we are the OTHER class apparently. Because the rest of the state doesn't have to register rifles and shotguns. we are looking to be treated as fairly as the laws that we uphold will allow. Like every other citizen in this state.

Court Officers 2A rights being violated!!

Yesterday, NYS Court Officers got slapped in the face..our Chief, Jewel Williams, has demanded that we register ALL of our firearms. Including any and all rifles and shotguns. Our Unions have stepped up to stop this illegal order. Per agency regs, we all have provided copies of our CCW permits...

Related to any famous shooters or founding fathers?

my uncle has a huge packet of research that his daughter did...right back to my paternal grandmothers family stepping off the boat at Plymouth. I think the ancestors name was Barzilla King. Not famous but noteworthy lineage.

college student shoots home invasion team

Hooo-AHHHH!!!! now if it was in NY, the kid would have been arrested for at least aggravated assault, the perp would have a Crime Victims advocate assigned and the anti's would be holding rally's to support the perps rights. AND that his livelyhood was being infringed upon. Then the college...

Diane Sawyer - Hit Piece on Guns Friday Night

well...that's a new one on me...I have gone to many Scottish and Irish festivals at the civic center. Nowhere did I see anything that said "No Firearms Allowed". Guess I'll look into that. A lot of upstate NY issuing officials are giving CCW permits nowadays. Even here in dreaded Broome County...

    who uses new york reload?

You guys must live in some really bad areas to carry two firearms Chris in VA....The area I live in is "Meth Alley" of NY. I live (if you want to get an idea) maybe 20 miles from the PA line directly south of Syracuse, NY. If you see the layout of the roads and that all the roads converge at...

    NYS question

I would highly recommend contacting the DA's office or the Sheriff's dept. out there and get the proper course of action. NY is awful prickish on unregistered guns coming in. You may be required to have them secured at the Sheriffs Dept. until your permit comes through. Check first.

US M9 bayonet and scabbard. Calling Rambo!

I think I tossed most of the stones from my "red box" into a desk drawer for inspections/accountability only. I replaced most with diamond rods and stones from woodworkers warehouse. They worked far better. I even did my own sharpening business on the side. I think I averaged about $125 extra...

Tracers work both ways... true or false?

Oh damn...I just had a thought....I would love to see a tracer round made for the MK-19. (that's a 40mm machine gun for the uninitiated, same round as the M203 grenade launcher, just belt fed) At 6 rounds per second...a big ass glowing golf ball coming at ya!!!!! HE HE HEEEE!!!!! Back to my lab!!!

    who uses new york reload?

Glock 19 and a Glock 26 when I carry 2 guns. Otherwise my G19 with XS sights and 2 additional mags. When the clothing permits...either my sig or my 1911. But I am a firm believer in the NY Reload. Quicker to grab another already stoked gun than to grab another mag. at times. IMO.

US M9 bayonet and scabbard. Calling Rambo!

My company commander at Schofield Barracks had me get a belt sander, fabricate a jig and sharpen 125 M9 bayonets....after a couple of passes to get it right...I was in business. He had me do this because the new Div. Commander didn't like seeing Ka-Bars and similar size blades on our LBE's. He...

Little reminder to know local laws...not just gun ones either

"Out of state LEO is just another civilian regardless of HR 218" You say regardless, but that's what HR218 says. It states you have no police powers and are bound by the same rules as a local permit holder. That is correct. I didn't say what i meant to or in the way I intended it. I was...
