Finally made it to the range today with some 38 Super loads. All were in Starline cases with Win small pistol primers. All were shot from a Colt Government 1911 with a 5" bbl.

This in reference to a hunting scope so I'm really interested in low light performance.
With a 30mm tube does the increased tube diameter gather any more light than a 1" tube (assuming the same objective diameter) or is all you're gaining increased windage and elevation adjustment range...
Putting a new Leupold 6.5 x 20 x 50 LR scope on my Winchester Model 70 (made in '73 if it matters) in .270 Win. I'm going to use Leupold mounts and rings.
Should I use the one piece or the two piece mount? What are the pros and cons of each? Are the one piece much stronger? Only three screws...
I'm new to the 38 Super and I'm looking to see if you guys have any favorite loads. I've got plenty of load manuals and lots of suitable powders (I'm a bit of a powder junkie). Just looking for your sucess stories.
Slugged the barrel in my new Colt 38 Super last night and it measures .355. Will a .357 bullet in this barrel be asking for trouble?
I bought a bunch of Reminton 130g FMJ to use in my new Super before I actually sugged the bbl and they are .357 (they actually measure .357 too).
Thanks
This has been passed down to me, it belonged to my Great Grand Dad. Caliber 32 WCF with serial # 2125XX. Can anyone tell me when it was made? Just curious really, I'll keep it in the family. Anything special about it?
My Dad told me he broke the original grips when he was a kid:(
