Carrying in the Workplace (No CHL)

Your friend is depending on you to get the answer to this very important question, where? On an Internet gun forum? This doesn't add up.

    Increasing Accuracy (Marksmanship)

I work with a guy who claims it's "no challenge" for him to take out prairie dogs at 800 yards. Wonder how tall the tale gets when he says stuff on gun forums. For me personally, I keep trying to learn, keep trying to make sure I'm not reinforcing bad habits or taking on new ones, get out...

Magpul MBUS Pro Steel Back Up Sights Review

On your first question, I know that for front sights, special versions are needed for gas blocks that sit lower.

    Bushmaster AR. Need experience!

Thanks, appreciate the input as I am probably going to grab a new Colt soon. I exhort the OP to do the same!

Magpul MBUS Pro Steel Back Up Sights Review

Nice review. If they're good-quality MIM, I'd buy 'em. I like how they look. No-tool adjustments, lots of people will like that.

So what do you guys think about the plastic rear sight on the new 6920s? They're Magpul and supposed to be quite rugged; I'm used to Troys. Should I just get over it? Oops, sorry, I truly don't mean to hijack your thread! I guess we're still talking about rifles you could buy, though...

He said.." that's your right, that's OUR right!"

If a cop asks me why I'm carrying, I won't answer. Not his business. I can have this attitude because in Arizona we don't get quizzed by cops about why we're carrying.

Ooo, scary, the feds know we have guns and ammo.

    Does Your Spouse Have Access?

She can open the safe if she really wants to, but never wants to.

    Scope magnification?

Benchrest shooting has its place in helping one prepare for the field. In fact, it's just about mandatory. Do you go to the field before you zero your rifle? Nuff said.

DPMS AR-15 Oracle A3 Flat-Top Uppers are they any good

I just ordered an upper, BCG and CH from PSA; can't wait! I hear many good things about their stuff.

    Purchase an AR 7.62 lately?

DPMS LR-308 Oracle with a few add-ons, purchased it about a year ago and like it very well so far.

    Bushmaster AR. Need experience!

An important point that a couple have touched on here is that you can get good quality, and yes Mil Spec stuff, for around the same price as the questionable stuff. This does not always dawn on people until they've had one or two ARs.

    Bushmaster AR. Need experience!

Mil Spec is not my religion as with some, but you might want to consider, say, a Colt for around the same price range. Or you could go another route, gathering components and putting one together. In my opinion, you should not be so quick to dismiss PSA. They do have stuff in stock --...

    Hi-Power Trigger Improvement

Let me offer my thoughts on how I would proceed with my next Hi-Power for trigger improvement, in light of what I did with my first one. First, I'd create the secondary surface on the sear. This whacks about 2 pounds off of the pull weight. Second, I'd remove the magazine disconnect...

What caliber do you carry most for Self Defence?

The pistol round that was designed to drop a man when another round just was not getting the job done. And then this new round proved itself on battlefields and streets again and again and again. Oh, and a really beautiful pistol was designed to shoot this round out of. That's what I carry.

Trusty 1911 , Im sorry but.....

The 1911 the king of handguns and will remain so, in part because a well tuned 1911 trigger is breathtaking.

    A Springfield Loaded

A newer SA Loaded, 600 rounds through it with zero malfunctions. The frame is stamped with 2011 -- that aspect of the purchase is one of my ways of celebrating 100 years of a timeless design. Factory full length guide rod assembly replaced with Ed Brown GI guide rod and Wilson Combat recoil...

would like opinions on CZ 75 P01

Some time after I bought a CZ P-01, I acquired a Springfield 1911 Mil Spec and decided to devote a lot of time and energy to learning the 1911 platform. I'm still learning of course. Anyway, despite my love for the 1911, I still enjoy my trusty P-01 a lot. I haven't had any kind of...

Let's have a candid conversation about GLOCKs.

Don't own a Glock just yet but I will soon. I'm no expert on Glocks, but I've shot the 20, 22, 23, 27, 31, 36 and 21 so I do have an opinion on them. My thoughts on the frequent criticisms: UGLY - It's a gun, not a beauty contestant. I've never understood how some gun owners perseverate...
