00Buck vs. Slugs for deer

Hey everybody,
I'll be going deer hunting tomorrow (suprise!) and due to this short notice, i'll be using whats in the safe. Would 2 3/4" 00 Buck be better than 2 3/4" federal tactical slugs or whatnot? I'll be hunting private land, so thats not an issue, and i suspect the slugs will be better but im trying to get some confirmation of that.

I've killed deer with #1 Buck, 00 Buck, 000 Buck, and slugs, and it sort of depends on the situation. If you are in a tree stand/blind, I would recommend the slugs. If stalking or driving the buckshot would be better. Another option is one I have used effectively several times: slug for first shot and buckshot for remaining ones. Hope you have a successful hunt!
