I've always been baffled by gun sales. Much like hand tools they pretty much last forever. Id bet less than 5% ever got "worn out" since the 70s. And unlike tools they are rarely lost. (I run a shop. Tools walk off)
New designs for the most part still use designs that John Moses Browning patented so it's not like TV or the car world where we are getting an exponentially improved product every few years..... the most purchased rifle is a Stoner designed gun from the 50s and one of, if not the, number one handgun is over 100 years old.
Idk. I dont get it. I like it....but it's still odd to me
