No it doesn't first off you have the certain amount who will say "I got my Glock now so whatever and I still don't see why anyone needs a AR-15" and you have the politicians who now have control in most key positions who don't care how many guns are being panic bought they will still push the gun control through. Biden and team will set their sights on it sooner or later, they are just too busy with COVID and opening the border for now.
We got those types before the panic even began. Besides: how many owners actually think that? Only a few. Till he does pass such a thing, the more people realize guns are important the better.

Empty ammo shelves and gun cases speak for themselves. It also speaks to what cannot be measured or tracked. 20210208_125737.jpg 20210208_125742.jpg

Those shelves look exactly like the ones at Academy yesterday, they said on delivery days that ammo is usually gone within 1hr and hit or miss on receiving firearms. I think this trend will continue until after tax refunds then maybe the manufacturers will have a chance to catch up. I Don't look for pre flu prices to return, multiple manufacturers have stated a 10 to 15% price increase.

That’s great news! More incentive for business to expand operations and new ones to open up, maybe laws on importation to be relaxed someday, so people are not SOL when domestic production can not keep up with demand.

Right now they can keep on at the same pace and someday will catch up, would be a lot more incentive if potential buyers were getting what they wanted elsewhere, likely cheaper.

All of this gives me pause about selling off anything else that is surplus to my needs. FWIW that counter has what was left of the reloading stuff too. Twice now i have heard "deals" being made by customers after viewing counter remains. Rule of law and commerce seem to have parted ways.

Us news and world report is stating in an article today (2-9-21) that New Jersey had a 33.4% increase in month to month Gun sales, followed by New Hampshire at 33% and Rhode Island at 30%. Michigan and Pennsylvania were up by 26%.

People are waking up to the fact the D victories in DC mean they’re going to be on their own.

Stay safe.

Given the intentional inaccuracy of the faux media the real numbers may be staggering. I would bet unreported sales are a magnitude of order greater than "reported" sales.

If all data one has is from reported sales, then that’s all the “data” one may obtain and then report with any degree of factuality. “According to reported sales data, these are the numbers reported”, etc.

Since unreported sales are just that, unreported, any estimate of unreported sales numbers will always be nothing more than a guess no matter who is doing the reporting. Are the numbers of unreported sales making the true numbers of firearms transactions greater? I will say most likely, almost definitely, yes.

I’m not vouching for the veracity of any news outlet, I just added this since it was new and shows the trend in numbers that are most easily verifiable by checking data compiled by the FBI.
