Give us some more details. When was it manufactured? Is it corrosive (I assume it is)? What kind of price do you think it will sell for?

Thanks!

This is good news, but I doubt we'll be going back to the days of $60 a case 8mm any time soon. 1.4 million rounds translates into about 1500 cases of ammo and unless there are more shipments on the way that'll get bought up pretty quick.

Obviously my last post was incorrect. At $329 a case I rather doubt that it will get bought up quick.

Sam Widener has 'secured' an ammount of this shippment and will be the go-to guy when it comes in, for anybody that wants some starting at one case type ammounts.
Most of it will be making its way to a warehouse in NC but thats mostly all been spoken for already. (big lots, ammo sellers...)

Its the M75 (not M49) that was made for the M76 counter sniper weapons, and its all made by Privi.

The dates in the container range from 1976 to apparently quite recent (1990's id say)

As far as being berdan primed, yes, corrosive, unknown (probibly, but im not clear on when or if privi ever went non-corrosive on their berdan stuff) unlike their newer boxer stuff which is 100% non.

It's on the boat, and its been approved for import, the rest is all up to the boys on the docksides in terms of ETA's

Wideners.com is now setup to take pre-orders on 25 units. (sealed cases of 900) for $329

The stated clearance date is Nov 15.

Here is the description he has posted:

We have decided to PRE-SELL this ammo because it is the most spectacular 8mm mauser surplus ammo we have ever had. It is NOT your standard mil.surp. third rate ammo. This ammunition compares to or exceeds current commercial production in terms of accuracy, quality and price. It is BRASS CASE, BERDAN PRIMED, LEAD CORE 196GR BULLET, LOADED WITH THE FINEST BELGIUM POWDER. It comes packed in a 15rd white box marked M75 SNIPER and is packed in a 900 round (60 boxes) hermetically sealed case. It was made in the mid 1970's and designed for extremely accurate (and reliable)shooting. Unknown if it is corrosive or not. Buy it and assume it is corrosive. If it isn't, you got a bonus. WE ARE SELLING IT ONLY IN A SEALED 900 RD CASE. Price does not include shipping charges. Weight is 65 lbs per 900 rd case.

Agreed.Thats AWFUL pricey.Luckily, I still hve about 600rds of Yugo surplus I bought locally about March or so in a 720rd crate for $70 OTD.That shold last me quite a while yet, as I dont go thru it ll that fast.Of course, ow that I have my k98 togo with the Turk 1893, it will probly go a bit faster, but, I also just got my 8mm mauser dies for when I run out, so...I think I'll pass at that price.
