Just sent my eotech back in, Want to go 1-6 power or in that area have been looking at Leupold MK AR Mod 1 in 1-4 illuminated but on and off button is cheap in my book and you have to have scope perfect alignment to work, Green dot is awesome even in sun, Vortex PST Cant even read reticle illuminated dot shows up but that's it, Strike eagle reticle is good but will wash out in direct sun, The reticle is etched in glass and works when battery dies, But have heard a lot of bad reviews on it, Has anyone actually used one and can give me a honest review, This is my truck gun, 4 wheeler gun so about 300 yds is all I'm looking for, I think the 30mm tube is much better than a 1" tube, Can use all the info I can get, Price range around 550 -600.00 at most Thanks,

Vx-3i 1.75-6 something I have been looking at. Not quite criteria though. Or vx-2 1-4 the vx -6 surpasses you budget unless you find a used one.

If you like the EOTech reticle, check out the Burris MTAC 1.5-6. It's what I use on my 3-gun rifles. The 1.5 power doesn't slow me down for the close shots and I've made hits on steel out to 500 yards on the clock. It is NOT a precision scope, but it IS a very good practical scope and easily below your max price range.

Decent review. Tons of people say that the Meopta is the one to get though. (I've never looked through one so ??????)

I don't own a 1-6 but have a couple 1-4's
Leupold vx-hog 1-4x20 which I love for its extreme light weight, it's not illuminated and I really don't like the "pig Plex" written in the reticle. Great scope none the less.
I also have a Steiner PX4i 1-4x24 which is daylight illuminated and in your price range.. But I don't have a ton of time behind it, as they are fairly new to market, and I've been out of country for a couple months. Good glass as typical with Steiner.

Might be worth looking at the Athlon Midas 1-6. I almost bought one a few weeks back, but just couldn't commit on a chicom scope. Not a recommendation, just laying out another option.

Look into the Primary arms 1x6 Version 2. Lifetime warranty and they get excellent feedback for the money

Select-able fire dot that will go to sleep for years, and wake up on motion
Might not this be a liability on a "truck or 4-wheeler" gun? Seems the motion of the vehicle might mean the batteries are dead when you most need them. Hopefully it has a setting where its reall turned "off" This was a problem with my EOTech, it never seemed to really be off, batteries were often dead when I took it out of the safe, so I've taken to removing the batter pack completely when I put it up.

Wonder what the deal is? I have the Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 TMCQ (MOA) Tactical and have no problem with illumination (brightness) in full daylight or viewing the hash marks. Haven't sighted directly at the sun but have used in in direction of sun.

I'm not big on Vortex but believe the Strike Eagle to be pretty decent.
There isn't much real world advantage if any to a 30 mm tube unless you are shooting way out there.

Don't own the Steiner but would like to.

The VX-Hog is a really good scope and I don't like Pig Plex being in the reticle but it doesn't affect utility.

Can't go wrong with the VX-R line. Really like the 2-7 I've got on an AR.

I've got a VX-3 1.75-6x32, it is one of my favorite scopes. For whatever reason they have less windage and elevation adjustment than most scopes. Not an issue for me because all I need is enough to get sighted in at 100 yards.

My favorite scope and binoculars are Meopta. I highly recommend Meopta.

Although much of this information is subjective I endorse this post.

I met BrocLuno at Aromatherapy school. He's a good guy.
