w00t! my lilja 10/22 barrel just came UPS. Looks like it needs bluing or parkerized.

Nope, I want the barrel and receiver to match... I almost got some 416 stainless steel to make the receiver out of, if I would have then the barrel would also most likely be stainless steel. I dont know why I thought the barrel from lilja would be pre-finished with a blue job.

At least you have the opportunity to have both the barrel and receiver finished at the same time, to the same level of polish and dipped in the same bluing tanks.

Go for a target style rifle, I have a hogue stock, .920 green mountain barrel, harris bipod, and Nikon scope. This little bugger can take a gopher head off at one hundred yards.

interesting. He's getting a little over 1000fps out of his bolt. Anyone have the fps from a 10/22 action?

Alright, I just ordered those kidd things, and that tundra thumbhole stock. I think I'll hold off on sights until I finish the receiver. I also ordered a gallon of parkerize goodness from brownells. Hurry up UPS guy!
