I will have a .920 Green Mountain barrel on a Hogue over molded stock. I plan to get the dednutz one piece scope base and am using a Redfield Revolution 3x9x40 scope. What will work best the low or the medium height mount. Which is more ideal, the scope center 1.5 inches above bore? Or a mount that will just allow the end bell of scope to clear barrel? I can't get very good measurements without parts and have everything but the mount. Will be ordering online. Will someone help me out? Thanks

As a rule, the closer the sight axis and the barrel axis, the better.

The answer to this question depends on you; and which option gives you better cheek-weld. Get a ruler, vertical at the muzzle, and shoulder the gun, and see how high your eye-line is, parallel to the barrel....or borrow your buddies' spare rings to see how they fit. Some gun stores might let you test both.

depends on what kind of bases you use.

with picatinny rail and low rings, I can fit a 40mm bell no problems. (pictured is a 36mm)...so I'm gonna say you'd need med height rings if you use rings with integral bases (or .22 rings to fit the receiver scallop), or low rings on a standard-type base.
