Things may have changed but when I bought my Ruger peep (I believe it was a Williams) it came with an adapter to raise the front sight to the correct heigth.
The factory sight is very low because it is on the barrel which is lower than the action where you will be mounting your peep , so any peep will need a higher front sight to match.
