Sight height, measured from bottom or top of dovetail?

I put a Williams peep sight on my 10-22 and I want to replace my front sight with a KNS hooded reticle front sight.
I need to know which height to order. I can measure my existing sight, but I need to know how manufacturers measure them.
From the bottom or top of the dovetail?

If you're ordering from Brownell's, call them and ask.

If there's a standard, I'm not aware of it. If you find out there is, please let us know.
