I just received my 10/22 deluxe trigger shim and spring kit tonight in the mail. I chose the stainless shims for my stainless/synthetic rifle. Installation and a light fluff and buff took about two hours. Plenty of shims were provided to tune the side tolerances of the trigger and hammer units to within 0.002". A large improvement over some clearances reaching 0.025" at their maximum.

The trigger is improved overall due to the much reduced side play. But the extra power hammer spring more than makes up for the reduced power sear and trigger return springs. The trigger pull actually feels about the same, but I lack a measuring tool to objectively confirm. As it wears in I suspect it will get better. Creep is still quite evident.

It was worth the $32 I paid for for the kit it as it gets me more than a 10% improvement value improvement compared to buying a $300 VQ or Kid product IMO. The proper stone for sear polishing would clearly improve this stock trigger much, much more.
