Hi all,

I recently picked up a 10/22 recently. It's my first 22rifle, and I'm not used to the vertical drop from zeroing in between 50 and 100 yards. (Other rifle is a 308.)

What do range do people zero in their 22? I decided I would set mine at 50 yards since I probably have a hard time seeing a rabbit beyond that range anyway. (I have a 3-9x scope)

Also do people have any favorite bullet trajectory calc's online? I'm shooting CCI std velocity - 1070fps I think, but I'm too lazy to get off the couch to check :)

Thanks!

Most low mag scopes are fixed at 50 yard parallax, so it's pretty standard. That should leave you 5-6 inches low at 100 yards.

For .22's the general rule of thumb is to zero at 25 yards and that should also give you a second zero around 75 yards with everything inbetween within an inch or so; or, zero at whatever distance you think you will be shooting the most. Of course this is ammo dependent, and may vary slightly between shooting subsonics, standard velocity or high velocity ammo.
