I have been getting little tired of the open sights on my completely stock 10/22, mostly because they block half the target.

tech-sights.com

Has any one tried these, how are they?

I plan on using the rifle for just small game, and target shooting, no heavy field work or rough abuse.

I put one on my Yugo SKS about 2 months ago. I know you're talking about the 10/22 but I think the two models are about the same.

I really like mine. It works as advertised and seems rugged enough.

I put mine on for two reasons.

1) On my SKS, it moved my rear sight back about 10 inches.

2) It had both elevation and windage adjustment. Both adjustments work well.

I had never used an aperture sight before this so I was a bit apprehensive about using the type of sight.

However, I I found I really like it. I am able to acquire the target much more quickly.

On my SKS, installing the Techsite was pretty easy. I have no experience with installing these sights on a 10/22.
The directions were clear and setup was straight forward.

One thing I haven't done yet is take it off and put it back on. It is supposed to re-zero automatically when you put it back on. I think the key here is to not over tighten the set screws.

The set screws are supposed to just make contact.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Andy

I've had a tech site on my yugo sks for about a year now and cant find anything bad about it. It does everything the website says it does.

I bought/installed a set on my son's 10/22 'cause he's far more familiar with the M-16/M-4. The 10/22 is much less expensive to shoot.:scrutiny: They're easy to install and provide an excellent, military-style sight picture. Sight adjustments are easy. I like 'em.

I put a set on my heavy barrel sporter. Fast delivery from the manufacturer, nice quality, easy to install and work great. Amazingly, first sight in shot was dead on. No adjustment needed! I like em.

Sorry for the short reply. They are great and as accurate, if not more than the stock sights. The only complaint I have the the dovetail on the front sight was a bit small which makes it sit funny, but otherwise they work great. I couldn't see myself scope a 10/22 so these are the next best thing.

Thanks for the help gentlemen!

I think I found my first aftermarket item to add to my 10/22.

dispatch55126: I also couldn't see my self scoping my 10/22, thats why I am looking into these sights.
