My freely-chosen carry handguns are single-stack auto (1911) and revolvers. My mandated duty pistol choices are all .40 double-column autos, would not likely be affected by a new AWB. I will likely retire the P229 when I retire. I selected choice #1 in the poll.

The wild card is my new-to-me G17. I bought it recently, hoping my chief would let me switch to a 9mm duty pistol, as cumulative .40 recoil is starting to torture one of my aging wrists. I have yet to carry it, so I did not let it affect my poll reply. I had a few normal-capacity mags for it, already. When the prospect of a new AWB appered, I acquired a few more G17 mags. It remains to be seen whether a future AWB will prohibit the carry of pre-existing mags, but the first AWB did not do so.

Just don't fall for the hype there will be hidden dangers in any new legislation. Magazine capacity bans are completely worthless and the gun haters know it, so they will try to hide other provisions in any bill they promote.

Look for hollow point bans, accessibility bans (has to be locked up unloaded), ammo storage limits, micro printing and a host of other hidden viruses embedded in the main bill.

Don't like your survey, makes it seem like you are ready to capitulate and asking who is with you. I don't care if any bans will affect mine or any one else's carry gun, I am still going to be fighting them and writing my reps. as you should be doing to if you have not done so.
