Was browing around midway just for fun and came across a 100gr .270win offering from remington. Reviews on the things are great including people recomending it for deer.

100gr on deer seems a tad light no?

As for just in general what sorts of things would 100gr coming out of a .270 be used for?

Isn't that the reduced recoil load? If so, they don't recommend taking shots past about 200 yards iirc, so you give up a significant amount of range to a normal 130gr load.

I normally shoot the 150's and have been thinking of dropping down to the 130's as I mostly do range work and don't really need the 150's. The 100 made me wonder though.

Muzzle Velocity: 3320 fps
Muzzle Energy: 2448 ft. lbs.

I am thinkin large varmint/coyote type stuff
