I bought 3 cans of this ammo last night. I've shot the .40 S&W TulAmmo Brass Max and it is good practice ammo. I shoot the TulAmmo steel case ammo in .45 ACP but my LGR has banned steel case ammo. This Brass Max ammo is good quality ammo at a decent price.

Thanks for the head's up. Looks like I'll be making a trip to one of the 9083290583905 walmarts around here tonight :)

My main spot has been stocking 100rd boxes of 9mm WWB. IIRC that has been around $30 a box. +/-

^LOL, you undershot i believe;)

I would jump all over that. If the 3 boxes they'll let me have counts as jumping all over it.

I stopped at Wal-Mart after lunch and bought 3 boxes of steel-cased TulAmmo .45 for $15.57 each. Thanks. They had 8, but 3 is the limit. I don't know if I'll shoot it in my Colt WWI Repro, but there's always the FNP-45.

They had larger stacks of the brass .40 in 50s and 100s. I don't have a .40 and they didn't have any 9mm, except a bunch of small expensive boxes of the 135 grain HP stuff.

They even had .410 shells for $12, but no 28 ga.

Yes, if I needed those 20 or 25 round boxes of SD rounds I would have been in luck throughout this panic. I see them everywhere. I can only bring myself to buy a box of those once in a blue moon.

Yeah, forty-stuff pops up at the WMs around here more often than all other calibers combined.

But, I don't have any guns in that caliber.

There's no chance in hell that will appear anytime soon in a Walmart near me. I'd jump on that in a second. Just out of curiosity, is it boxer or berdan primed?

Cans? Sounds interesting, could you please post a photo?

This morning the WalMart at Spring Creek & Coit in Plano had three 1,200 round ammo cans of "ZQI" 9mm for only $457 each.

My favorite ammo lady said "I knew you would be excited to see this!"
I told her that stuff was ten cents a round higher than the WWB & Rem that i bought on Monday.

"1,200 round ammo cans of "ZQI" 9mm for only $457 each."

I said the WM didn't have any cheap 9mm. They did have the 1200-round packages and one that was 720 iirc and I immediately forgot about them because the math just didn't work out on the price. I still have a few cases of Swiss GECO 9mm ball that was $200/1000 a couple of years ago.

Ya they had like 1,500 rounds of that stuff last Friday, me and an uncle grabbed our 600 rounds :)

My local WM has that ZQI in 9mm and 5.56

1200 rnds of 9mm is $497
720 rnds of 5.56 is $457

Both come in an ammo can, and have several battle backs in each. It's Turkish mfg's NATO spec

We also have the Tula round cans and ZQ1 in smaller quantities

Federal 9mm is $.0227 per round, while the ZQ1 is $.046 per round...

Does anyone know how reloadable these various new imports are? I love to reload PPU. It's actually great brass and accurate ammo.

Mike

I bought 3 more of the Tula .45 an hour ago. This WM is about 20 or so miles west of the one I hit Wednesday. They had quite a bit of Tula .40, almost no 9mm of any sort other than a few of the big overpriced 9mm tins.

They also had a basketball-sized stack of Federal 12 ga. 00 five packs.

No .22 and no 28.

That BrassMaxx seems to be the best deal currently going in 9mm ammunition.

I bought a few of them and have fired one can (100 rounds) so far. It's dirty but it's brass and it works.

I think CCI Blazer is better, and even WWB is probably better than the BrasMaxx (even though Winchester QC has gone to CRAP), but that price difference adds up.

The WalMarts in my area have Remington/Federal/Winchester cheaper than Tula BrassMax......I have no idea why they have it (and the ZQ1) priced higher.
