10mm ammo question regarding woods carry

Malamute,

In an effort to keep this positive, and educational, it reads like you have personal experience with 10mm hardcast loads not working in a Glock platform. If this is accurate, would you be so kind as to share the specifics of what you have tried, please?
Brand? Bullet weight? Bullet shape? Powder charge? What malfunctions did you experience?

If you tried some, and they worked, would you please share that as well?

I missed this before, sorry I didn't respond sooner.

My comments aren't from first person experience, I hope I didn't imply that. A well known member on another forum has posted fairly extensively on his experience with 10mm pistols. Last I saw, he mentioned about a dozen glocks between himself and his wife. Hes also used the stainless S&W's from the 90's period I think, though he had some troubles with them, and was concerned about the lack of factory parts. He had generally good functional results with 1911s but didn't like the gun type as well for whatever reason. I think he used them for 5 years or so. Hes finally settled on the full size H-K 45 auto, I don't recall the exact model(s), but they run out of the box with 45 Super, and are factory warranted to do so. He makes no changes in the guns to shoot either round, either for "town use" or practice with the standard ammo, or Alaska bush use with the heavy loads.

PMing the place to look for his posts.
