Dan Wesson 10mm CBOB, ~300-350 rounds fired.
No FTF or FTE, but ejected brass is getting pinched by the ejection port and getting all boogered up. It's also putting brass/nickel markings on my slide. When it happens the casing spins vertically out of the port and lands either on me or right next to me; when it doesn't happen the spent brass flies 15-20 feet away. Fired some remanufactured 180gr FMJ that I got at a local range and about 1 in 3 rounds did this. Also fired some awesomely cheap Ultramax reman. stuff and there wasn't a single instance. Fired some Winchester SuperX 174gr Silvertip HP and some of those cases ended up pinched. The picture I attached to show the case damage sucks, but I think you can tell what I'm talking about. There's also some scratching around the ejector groove (not sure of the nomenclature) on the case.
I checked the FAQ sticky and could not find anything exactly like my problem. Recoil spring obviously springs to mind, but maybe it's weak loads or the notorious "break-in period." Any thoughts?
Also, anyone know of a good 1911 gunsmith in the Eastern WA/Northern ID area?
Thanks.
