Thinking about getting another handgun. I've got it narrowed down to these three but I can't decide which one....

The glock and S&W I want mainly for woods protection, self defense and target.

The HK .40 I have just wanted for a while.....

Glock is around $550-600?

S&W is around 650-700

HK is around 800-900

I assume the accuracy is comparable with the glock slightly behind but not really noticeably.

I like single action triggers but I am pretty good with the glock's.

I like ambidextrous and shoot ambi, how does the revolver work with regards to shooting left handed? Isn't it a little more difficult to load?

If your set on a 686, look at Ruger GP100s, no lock and they are very sweet shooters for the price, I paid $463 NIB at a gun show (stainless).
