1100- 11-87 20ga are they the same?

i was looking to buy a extension tube for my 11-87 but all i can find are ones for the 870 and 1100's in 20ga..i just bought this 11-87 new at DICK's for my grandson to use in the youth 3gun matches and i need to find a extension for it..i hope i didnt buy the wrong model cause i cant return it..cbr

There are (or were) Choate magazine extensions that fit the 'small frame' 20 gauge Remingtons, I put one on an 879 Express Youth model 20 gauge for someone once upon a time, and also put one on a small frame 1100 for someone else who was shooting 3-gun with it. But I don't know about the 11-87 20 gauge.

Remember though that early 20 gauge 1100s were built on 12 gauge frames...
