Looking for suggestions on modestly priced ($50-$100) 1" rings for a CZ 452 with European stock and 11mm dovetail.

I would like something classy of course, nothing tactical, as low as possible due to the stock, and preferably in matte finish. Failing that, Talley makes a gloss blue pair that's suitable, though I would prefer a different finish. Suggestions?

The rings will likely dictate the scope I choose in this case so no concrete dimensions on the objective lens at this time. Thank you.

I use Warne Rimfire rings on all rimfire rifles. Here is my CZ 512 with Warnes.

They come in 1" and 30mm and fit both sizes of rimfire dovetails.

I have Warne, Leupold, and cheap airgun rings for my CZs. They all work well. The best looking finish is on the Leupold. They are blued. The other two are painted. This gun has Warne.

Burris Signature Rimfire rings. Can be fitted on a 13 or 11 mm dovetail. The finish is fine. They work great on my Sako.

Update: I was ready to turn my cart into an order when I figured to have a look at Midway. There to my delight I found a set of Talley rings in matte and jumped on them! Similar vertical split design like Warne but a bit more svelte.

Only question now is how much scope I need to fill them. I had planned on pairing them with a 3-9 X Japanese Tasco (Gloss finish) but then I ordered a Minox on a whim. I knew its 40mm objective might make the decision a moot point so to keep my options open I've been reading up on Clearidge and Leupold's E.F.R.

The rifle won't likely be carried in the squirrel woods since my daughter has another dedicated rifle for that purpose waiting in the wings as well. I might need a new thread.

By the way guys, those are some fantastic looking rifles you've got! I've meant to track down a CZ in walnut but my rimfire collection is already taking up its own safe and the thought of having to pick among CZ's offerings once again makes me want for more. Thank you again for the suggestions.

I took a look at my CZ stuff last night and realized I have Burris Signature Zee rings in both medium and high. I bought the medium to use with a Leupold full sized scope. I put it on and thought it looked and fit fantastic, only to discover the bolt handle hit the eyepiece. I had to go with highs.

I'm hoping the OP lets us know how those Talleys work out. They're good stuff from what I've seen of them. About six months ago I put a 2-7x Vortex with a 32mm objective on a CZ 455 with the 11mm dovetail and used an 11mm dovetail to Picatinny scope mount base that allows use of Weaver or Picatinny style rings and I went with a set of medium Warne vertical split rings for Weaver bases. Plenty of room up front for the scope's objective lens. Bolt handle clears the eyepiece good enough that it doesn't bother me but it could be a little better. The base gets the medium rings just high enough above the receiver that if it weren't for the base I would have needed a set of highs.

Normally I mock up and measure for clearances. I knew Talley and Warne low rings wouldn't allow the 32mm objective to clear and I couldn't seem to find anything in medium so I ordered high rings and a 1/4" Kick Eez cheek pad to compensate a bit.

I'll definitely post up pictures once I've got something mounted. I shudder thinking how many rounds I'll need to shoot sighting it in for my daughter but I'll suffer through it.

Eagerly awaiting those pictures........ If those high rings just don't seem right here's what that 11mm dovetail to weaver/ picatinny base looks like on a CZ 455 with a set of Warne medium rings and a 2-7x Vortex with a 32mm objective. Clears the bolt handle O.K. but could be better; not gonna get high rings just for a tiny bit more clearance so it's gonna stay as-is. IMG_1662.JPG

My apologies, I had started another thread searching for a scope and mounted both a Tasco 3-9 X 32 and Minox 3-9 X 40 to test fit things. Inbound is a VX 2, 4-12 X 40 AO that should fit very well.

Leupold VX2 4-12 X 40mm, Talley High (.600") Matte rings, CZ 452 Trainer. Looking forward to a range day when I get a chance so a custom dial can be ordered. I think focusing to 15 yards will still yield a useable image despite the claimed 25 yds to infinity range. Exceptionally pleased so far.

Looking good !!!........ Get to the range yet?. I've always been a Leupold guy and had a Redfield (made by Leupold) Battlezone TAC 22 2-7x rimfire scope that I got on sale 2 or 3 years ago ( it's now discontinued) still sitting here brand new, never used and planning to put it on my next 22 whenever I decided on one. So this year I decided on the CZ-455 and somehow that Redfield just didn't look proper on it to my eye. It was too "tactical" looking and didn't seem to compliment the CZ. Got such a good deal on the Vortex I decided to give a Vortex a try. Gonna save the Redfield for a different project. But I gotta admit that VX-2 in those rings is one nice looking setup.

It's definitely come together well. Despite my intentions to hit the range after work today, my plans were scuttled by a 10 year old who pulled a Houdini till dinner time followed by a flute lesson. Kids!

I kept it together during the 3 hour wait by tinkering with the next project, a Western Field Model 45 (Mossberg) in need of a scope. I'm not sure what to think of the rings on this one...too high, too blocky, but what I had on hand and they appear well designed. I do know my Tasco has found a new home and all this rifle needs now is the correct magazine and bottom metal to be complete.
