No 12 putters for me. Before I even started getting into firearms I decided on 12-6-3. Handguns, rifles, shotguns. So far it has kept my collection manageable and not bloated.

I guess this is my current bag!

1) 7mm rem mag, Weatherby Mark V - driver
2) 30-06, Savage- 3 wood
3) 270, Savage - 5 wood
4) 243, Savage - 7 wood
5) 50 cal, Cabelas muzzle loader- hybrid
6) 41 mag, Taurus- 5 iron
7) 357 mag, 686+ - 6 iron
8) 357 mag, Ruger Security Six- 7 iron
9) 45 acp, XDM compact- 8 iron
10) 45 Colt, Bond Arms- 9 iron
11) 38 special, 442 - pitching wedge
12) 12 gauge, Rem 332 - approach wedge
13) 12 gauge, Nomad- sand wedge
14) 22lr, S&W Victory- putter

I'm not much of a long iron fan:cool: but like more Loft in the woods

My Scottish grandmother used to play with 3 clubs for fun 100 years ago, a putter, a wood/driver, and an iron.................(she did have a full set as well)
For me, 3 shotguns, 3 rifles, 3 semi handguns, 3 revolvers cover all I "need"

This would be my set of 12

Funny this came up. I just ordered new clubs.

ETA - We actually play a golf with guns game using 22's, golf balls and a flag planted about 50 or 60 yards down range. Basically it is closest ball to the flag in the least amount of shots wins. The "golfers" stay behind the firing line but can move side to side.

I don't know about golf. I'm the guy who would show up with one club and figure out how to make it work . so one for me, can't put with a 50 bmg? I beg to differ.

Well, since you're allowed 14 clubs in golf I'm going with 14 and basing the clubs off MY personal golf bag. :D I'm also not limiting myself to the shooting I personally do, because that would be a boring list since I don't get to go much and I'd just list what I own. Going to try to cover all bases one might want to and have some variety in brand.

I'm going to break it down this way...
-Driver and woods are heavy hitting rifle calibers
-Long to mid irons are going to be standard deer rifle type calibers.
-Short irons are your intermediate to small cartridges.
-Wedges are handguns.
-Putter is a shotgun.

I'm a pretty terrible golfer, but when I did a bit I really only ever used the 3 iron, 9 iron and putter.

So I guess at that rate all I'd need is:

Long range: my Grendel Hunter AR 6.5 Grendel, does what I need a rifle to to.

Chipping: some kind of 12 gauge, I'm between shotguns at the moment so I don't have a modern option, but I have always liked the SBE 2.

Putting: I can live with my EDC X9 for close work.

All ones I currently own;
Ruger 10/22
Smith 686 357 mag
savage 12 22-250
Weatherby Mark V 300 win mag
Ruger SR556 in 6.8 SPC
Springfield M1A Socom
Remington 1187 12 gauge 28"
Savage 110 338 lapua
Vepr 12
Henry 45/70
Smith 629 classic 5" 44 mag
Smith 500 magnum 5"

That about covers it I think.

Someone once said a golf course is a waste of a good gun range and I couldnt agree more but I will play.

1. Rem700 in 308
2. M1A scout
3. 590A1
4. 458s ar pistol
5. Ar15 556 milspec
6. 1911
7. 10/22
8. .22 pistol in whatever flavor you can hit something with
9-12. more BALLS

Hate to beat a dead horse with a golf club....THIS THREAD IS S%@&! WITHOUT PICS....
My Dan Wesson 44 with long and shot barrels should cover all 14 clubs with loft and persision...

If that's not enough...add my 12 gauge coach sxs with extra longer barrel for long shots..
