Pretty Short List as of Right Now:

1: STI Ranger II (is going to be my next purchase) CCW
2: H&K P7 M13
3: S&W 642 (BUG)
4: Sig P220 ST
5: CZ Rami (hopefully sometime in the next decade)
6: FN FAL .308

Not to bad....this list has become very short over the last few years. Its kinda funny though, the list is ever growing and changing. The above six though are certainly my must obtain list. I will be a very happy man upon completion.

my firearms "To Do" List:

Sell or trade Kel-Tec P11 and Ruger P89
(if trade, trade towards below)
Purchase CZ-75 B or CZ-75 SA
Get CHL License in November 03 (maybe October if $$$ allows)
Purchase bolt-action sporter rifle in .308 and a good scope
Purchase Kahr K9 before summer rolls back around, so that I'll have a gun suited for summer carry.
or, if I'm still poor as next summer rolls around, a Bersa or a Makarov instead.

I think that will satisfy my gun itches, at least for a while.

1. K9 because I want a 9mm that's a little more concealable than a BHP.

2. S&W 617 .22 revolver for cheap practice, fun plinkin', and just 'cuz...

3. A decent BHP clone to take to the range so that my real BHP doesn't take such a beating.

4. Lever action carbine; probably a Marlin 1894 in .357 to keep my 686+ company.

5. 18" home defence shotgun; haven't done enough investigation to know what I want yet but I'm guessing it'll be either an 870 or a 500...

6. An AK clone/variant of some kind; again I don't know enough yet to know what I really want.

7. Not a gun but will cost more than some: An ARMS SIR rail system, Aimpoint and BUIS for my 16" AR. As long a I'm spending funny money I might as well get a Surefire light and a mount while I'm at it, eh?

:)

Let's see. I'v pretty much decided to get:

1. Registered auto-sear for my FNC. Not really a 'gun', but the ATF thinks it is.
2. Integrally suppressed Ruger Mk II.
3. Taurus 905 9mm revolver. Will probably wait a bit on this one just to make sure there's no major bugs once they release it.

Would like to get sometime, but probably won't anytime soon:

1. Some sort of 1911
2. Garand
3. .22 AOW pen gun. Just for the novelty of it.

my "buy as soon and as quickly as economicly possible" gun purchase list. (this is an approximate order not set in stone)

1.Savage 10FP in .308 : and attendant doo-dads to make it a livable 600yrd and less gun.

2. Remington 870 : (possibly two) one for use by me and my wife, and possibly a second for use by my Step-duaghter

3.a "Mil-spec" style 1911 clone (possibly sistema)

4. mossberg 590A1 : for my wife (what the lady wants the lady gets)

5, and 6. two AR-15s : (just the begining of the AR collection) one A1 clone for my wife, and a "match ready service rifle" for me.

7.M-1A/M-14 type don't matter to me who made teh receiver as long as the gun is decent, safe, and functional

and Lastly, and fitting in where ever and when ever the proper amount of expendable money and "good example at right price" are present in the same place. any, or all of the following mil-surp rifles

Schmit-rubin 1911rifle or K31, No1 Mk3 and No4 SMLEs, 1903A3, M-1 Garand. or any other that catches my weird fancy :D

I figure the following will finish out the "need" list, and I can progress to the "want" list:

1) Springfield stainless Loaded 1911 (Rounds out the pistols at .22, 9mm, and .45)

2) CZ 452 rifle (fills the .22 rifle requirement)

3) Some sort of FAL (.308 is also a necessity)

Already have shotguns in 12 & 20 gauge, and rifles in 5.56, .219 Improved Zipper, and 7mm Rem Mag. These new additions should fill in the gaps in caliber rather nicely.

Now, to find the money in the budget to proceed before Maryland enacts further gun legislation...

:banghead:

1) AR15. still undecided on make and length, but leaning towards Bushy or RRA in 16".

2) A carbine. If I can't get an M1 and do the Hezi conversion, I'll go with the CX4 storm.

3) Another safe.

4) Round out the WW2 rifle collection with a Nagant, arisaka rifle, and carcano.

Alrighty then

Started off this thread with my "needs" at the top of my list - so now here's the bottom of the list - my wants-but-don't- 'need' (was gonna start a separate thread on this subject, but what the hey, it goes here better than starting a new thread):

[note: some of these choices are not true wants, but 'theoretical' choices if I had to pare down the numbers of firearms, or if certain or all firearms are banned, as described]

1. Theoretical: One rifle for all purposes: DSA FAL .308, 21" med. cont. bbl.
2. Theoretical: One handgun for all purposes: HK USP full-sized .45 (second choice STI double stack full-sized .45)
3. Theoretical: One turnbolt rifle for all purposes: Steyr Scout .308 Win
4. Vehicle Carry Rifle: Kel-Tec SU16 (redundant because it's on need list now)
5. If firearms are banned; game-getter: Beeman Super 12 pre-charged pneumatic, .22 pellet.
6. If firearms are banned; self-defense: RWS Career 707 pre-charged pneumatic, 9mm 50 gr pellet (1,000 fps claimed vel)
7. Rem model 7 in .260 Rem or 7mm-08 - all-purpose hunter
8. Handgun/Carbine combo (using same ammo) #1 (smallbore): M1 Carbine, converted to 5.7mm Johnson Spitfire, and Taurus Raging Hornet, converted to 5.7 Johnson (using moon clips from Raging Thirty).
9. Handgun/Carbine combo (using same ammo) #2 (largebore): Puma Lever Action .45 LC / .454 Casull, and Dan Wesson revolver .45 LC / .454 Casull
10. Cooper of Montana rifle, 21 action, Varminter Extreme model, 6mm PPC - benchrest/ultimate accuracy.
11. Rifle in .17 Rem or .22-250 - Varminter
12. 1917 Enfield, converted to .338/'06 or .35 Whelen - big game
13. Marlin Guide Gun in .45-70 or .450 Marlin - proverbial "Grizzly Gun" / all-purpose bigbore.
14. Many more milsurps - 98K, on and on.
15. Some more pistols - Walther P99, HKP7M8, Sig 239, etc.
16. A Muzzleloader
17. A crossbow
18. HK MP5, and I could go on if I want to get way unrealistic.

That's about it for now... :)

I like JeepDriver's list - see, it's longer than mine - I'm not the nuttiest one here. :)

One more thing: If I can afford the Barrett M82, then I should also be able to afford the most beautiful machine I've ever seen, the American Chopper Black Widow bike.
