Looking for a 124 grain 9mm hollow point with a rounded ogive for my CZ 75. The rounded profile will allow me to seat them out much further than an XTP or similar with the short leade of the CZ.

I can load them a little warmer with a longer COL and feel more confident in feeding with a rounded profile. My CZ 75 hasn't skipped a beat, but a rounded profile can't hurt.

Seen anything that fits the description that isn't too expensive and that has been proven to expand?
Gold dots are $20.50/100.
Golden Sabers never seem to be in stock.
How about the plain Remingtons, seem kind of 'old school'.
Any suggestions?

How "warm" do you want them?

I load Montana Gold JHP's with 6.6 gr of 3N37 and chronograph them at 1255 fps average from my CZ75 SP-01. I use an OAL of 1.125 and have no issues with pressure. No "stretch marks" on the case or flowing/cratering primers.

This is the fastest "published" load I have found and is a max load.

That's warmer than I would go, but good to hear.
I'll be using HS-6, that's as slow as I want to go with powder, so 1,150 fps or so is what I'm after.
The price is right on those Remingtons, plus I can order as few as 100 to give them a try, maybe even try some expansion tests for fun.
Thanks.

I haven't tried the ZERO 125 JHP as a self defense round, it's commonly used by action shooters as an accurate target round. I did shoot through two full size telephone books with it using light target loads (132PF). The bullet kept going, but the hole got bigger and bigger.;)

I've heard (at the CZ Forum) the Reminington 124JHP at standard velocity will feed nicely in a CZ. The published tests show good expansion results with factory rounds / NOT +P.

Berry's bullets is investing money and effort into developing a real SD plated hollow point. There are some teaser pics of preliminary results that really look promising. http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=43301.0
