• Possible Downtime Alert

I am working to migrate THR from the current cluster to a new one. I would like to get this done before the weekend, but it's unclear what the timeframe will be, as testing is still ongoing. As I am writing this the new (rebuilt) host is doing a burn-in to ensure that everything will keep running under load.

When the migration happens users will see a Cloudflare message indicatating it cannot connect to the server. This is expected, and depending on how the migration goes this may last from 30 minutes to 3 hours - I won't know more until testing the various migration options is complete and I have finalized the plan.

More information is available in this thread.

As always, thanks so much for your patience.

If you look at below pictures of Glock and Lone Wolf barrels, you'll note long leades with gradual start of rifling which will accommodate longer OAL.

In comparison, Sig 1911 and M&P45 barrels have shorter leade (almost none) with sharper start of rifling.

LM- thanks for sharing. Those are of the best pictures I've seen to show barrel rifling.

BDS,

After comparing the pictures of your barrels and my Storm Lake, I can see that there is no ramping on the riffling. I measured the chambers in all 4 of my 9mm barrels including the Storm Lake. They are all between .759 - .760. It look like I need to have the Storm Lake chamber throat reamed to ramp the riffling slightly to accommodate the longer COL I am trying to achieve with that barrel.

As always, your thoughtful posts on this as well as other threads always provide a wealth of information for me. Thanks for sharing.
