Hey all,

Note: I decided to post this in the "general" section because I think we can all benefit from this.

I came across this video on YouTube today while looking into some stuff about flares. I have read many threads about shotgun shells in those Orion flare pistols, and they always end with what is most logical. I.e. "Don't do it" "Make a video so you can watch it once you get outta the hospital" etc. etc.

Well, these guys actually went and did it. They took a standard 12ga. #7 1/2 Federal shotshell (for those of you who don't know, these are your standard trap/clay/bird loads) cut it down, removed "some powder" and discharged it out of the flare gun.

This is obviously a violation of federal law, as has been previously discussed.

So why post the "How To"? If it violates Federal Law I would assume that spreading the information, on a PUBLIC, board would be a bad idea.

I posted the "How-To" so that we could see the level of thinking that went into this "project" of theirs..as if that wasn't already present in their demonstration video

It is not a crime to spread/supply information on how to commit a felony in the sense of the internet and online forums/etc. If that was the case, I am sure that Google/Youtube would have been shut down long ago.
